It is with tender hearts that we share that our beloved Moderator, Linda Seger, passed away peacefully in February.

 

In her final days, Linda expressed deep gratitude for the Church in the Wildwood family and for the prayers, care, and love that have surrounded both her and her husband, Peter. 

 

May we hold Peter—and one another—in prayer, assured that Linda now rests in God’s deep peace.

 

Linda's legacy includes a successful career in the film industry as a Hollywood script consultant. It became an international business and she trained people in her method in 8 different countries.

 

This business led to teaching seminars on screenwriting in 33 countries on all six continents and writing books. Ten of her books are on screenwriting and filmmaking, and nine are on subjects related to spirituality.

 

Linda is a graduate of Colorado College - in English, and has an MA degree in theater, an MA and ThD in Drama and Theology from a UCC seminary in Berkeley, and an MA in Feminist Theology.

 

She worked at a UCC church during seminary, grew up Lutheran, was a Quaker for 50 years, and joined Church in the Wildwood in 2021.

 

Linda is survived by Peter Hazen Le Var and their magnificent cat, Tallinn.
